"i believe in the value of everyday exposure to images of our past, memories of how we and our families were..."
PORTRAITS
Why?
Why I specialise in portrait photography is because I believe everyone should have memories of their families as they grow, images that are completely natural and portray us at our best.
In my experience, to then have these images displayed big on walls and in fantastic handmade albums, allows us to have these memories at our fingertips, to sit and look back at with a smile.
I have decades of experience in capturing images of people, and their character, getting them to relax and be themselves.
I’m happy to remove blemishes, but don’t believe in putting a face behind a mask of retouching.
How?
How I achieve this is by spending time with you, perhaps taking a family walk, family dynamics at its best; peeling off individuals to allow them to be themselves, and capturing personality.
We do the photoshoot at a location of your choice: at your home, going to the beach, by the river, or somewhere that has special memories. Some clients ask me to travel further afield - which I’m happy to do.
What?
What I produce for you are photographs full of character, indeed ’soul’, stuff that encapsulates memories.
You choose what you wish to buy from a series of display options, selected to provide long-lasting quality images.
Wall portraits, with a choice of framing options; beautiful canvasses, big and uninterrupted by frames; Sterling silver framed images, ideal as gifts for grandparents and God-parents; and handmade photo-albums in which I use photographs of the shoot locality as a backdrop for your chosen images.
Not all good things take time, but most do, as does the production of your order.
We use the best materials we can source. We have a fantastically reliable local photo print, and our albums are all handmade.
Mark, who runs the photo lab is incredibly skilled at getting the very best out of each image - making a work of art of each.
We constantly strive towards sustainability and know there is still a way to go, but we do our best.
05 - The Magic Happens
Your photo-viewing session is a special time to relive the moments captured during your photo shoot. This session can take place either on the day of your photo shoot or about two weeks afterwards. If I’ve travelled far for your photoshoot, I will return to your home on the day once the photo session is complete. I download the images and spend time selecting images and making basic adjustments preparing them for your viewing session.
With many years of experience, I’ve found that this is the ideal time to make your selections and place your order. We work together, viewing on a screen, with frame and album samples to hand, helping you to make choices that will engender memories of now, for the future.
This personalised experience is designed to be enjoyable and stress-free, allowing you to focus on the joy and memories captured in each photograph.
Your viewing session is a key part of the process, ensuring that your treasured moments are preserved exactly as you envision.

03 - On The Day
As Simon Sinek said, “Success is a team sport”, if everyone joins in willingly and trusts me to get the images however shy and nervous they are, however photophobic they are, then success will be the result.
We always do our best to accommodate your preferred date, there are certain periods where someone else ‘got there first’. Saturdays are of course prime times when it’s more likely families can be all together. If it's all very last minute - give me a call, it may just work - and it's just wonderful when it does!
02 - Book A Date
Get in touch... Whilst e-mail is fine, there’s nothing like some conversation to set the starting point. The sooner you get in contact, the greater the chance of accommodating your preferred date. Call me on +44(0) 7946 456 886
01 - Contact Me
I will be your primary contact, at every stage. 'although I have a great team to help me, I prefer that to be 'background' help.
Depending on locality there are a few options. If you’re nearby, then come and collect. Further afield, and depending on what you’ve ordered there’s the option for you to arrange a courier. If I’m coming in your direction anytime soon and you’re willing to wait then I can sometimes hand deliver.
