Pre-wedding (Engagement) Photographs

Why a Pre-wedding Photosession?

Your pre-wedding photo-session is for you. It is a time for you to see how we work, it gives you the opportunity to see that you can fully trust us on that very important day – your wedding. Are you nervous about being photographed? Well this is where we give you the proof that you don’t need to be.

We discuss the details of your wedding day so that we know just what you have in mind. We then go for a walk together and we take a bunch of photographs of the two of you together, and separately – it’s rather like old – fashioned engagement photographs but with our contemporary touch.

It’s invariably rather good fun and a great chance to build up a friendship.

Bespoke Wedding Photography Pricing

Your wedding is about you and what you want, it involves exciting choices, and that means every wedding, and every album we do is unique.

We therefore do not publish prices, as it very much depends on what you choose. As a guide, prices start from £4800, to include 60 images in an A3 hand sewn photo-book from one of the finest makers in England, holding a Royal Warrant.

We really do prefer to meet up with you, it is important that you feel we are suitable for you, and it is vital to show you the quality of what we offer and to discuss what you are seeking by way of images and how best to present them.

Wedding Photography

My wife Louise and I are professional wedding photographers based in Wiltshire. We have photographed weddings at many of the best wedding venues : Hampton Court Palace; The London Eye; Chelsea Registry Office; and in our home area of Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Dorset. We are available to travel worldwide as a husband and wife wedding photography team doing destination wedding photography.

Our documentary wedding photography, sometimes called reportage wedding photography records all those wonderful moments of your wedding day with natural, contemporary and stylish photographs that you will cherish. We love working with couples to capture fresh and amazing wedding photographs that will give you memories of your day that last a lifetime. We would love to hear from you about your wedding plans so that we can work together to capture the story of one of the most important days of your lives.

Some of our favourite Wedding Venues include: Hampton Court Palace, Lulworth Castle, The Larmer Tree, Chewton Glen, Sheldon Manor, Christchurch Harbour Hotel, Haven Hotel, Lainston House, Four Seasons Basingstoke, Babington House, and North Cadbury Court.

So how do we do it?

If you are having both Louise and I photograph your wedding, then we work brilliantly as a team: Louise will take your  brides wedding preparations photographs, and I will come and spend time with you the groom, your best man and ushers. A grooms lunch is a great tradition according to Debretts and a great opportunity to get some fabulous shots of you guys together in the run-up to the hand-over of control!

Louise and I then come together to photograph the wedding ceremony, working quietly to capture the best shots that the priest or registrar will allow. Your wedding ceremony is a very special occasion and we believe that etiquette, if nothing else, means we should be as discreet as possible. We never use flash photography during a service even if it is allowed as we feel it is a huge distraction to you and your guests to have flashes going off all the time.

The rest of the day we work together. One of the outstanding features is the bride and groom pictures. We continue to work in our relaxed style and suggest fifteen to twenty minutes or so of your time, a walk together around your venue is all we need to create some stunning pictures you will love, we don’t do forced poses or ask you to do silly things,  we just want you to be you. if you would like then we can go somewhere already special to you for these photographs – it’s up to you.

We are great believers in natural light wedding photography, and wedding photography using natural light is amazing. As you will see from the images here, we build a special relationship with our couples, and to have you notice us and smile at us is great and enables us to do our job all the better .

For the evening reception photographs we combine fast lenses and higher ISO to take photographs using available light for nearly all of the photographs. This enables atmospheric wedding photographs much better than photographing with artificial lighting.
