“a quiet moment to end the week with inspirational Photography and  Words, semper in faecibus Altitudo variat.”

“Light doesn't ask permission — it just transforms.”

"Snail crawling on animal dung, symbolizing the humorous Latin motto 'Semper in faecibus, altitudo variat' — always in the shit, only the depth varies."cooperative mood.

These aren't simple photography tips as such, but more like life inspiration through inspirational Photography and Words—a mix of visual with meaningfulish reflections.

The story: I was out dog-walking the mutt yesterday, more Princess than mutt actually,

In readiness for a trip to the mountains I was heading up the north facing scarp slope on our particular piece of chalk downland, when I came face to face with this chap.

(Ok, I know snails are hermaphrodyte, which is a good thing in this modern world of embracing diversity, but I'm still going to call it chap, which is more likely to be correct as chappess and besides it's the he-part that gets into the smelly most frequently!)

Anyway, this stripey monster with the goggly eyes was heading over this rather substantial piece of cow-dung (FYI it was a Dexter), and I couldn't resist getting my knees dirty to share a portrait with you.

And the words, rather poor latin I know, just needed to make it onto the image. semper in faecibus is less commonly used but i think, more likely correct than semper in excretis
