This Friday image with words came from Sarakiniko Bay off Kastos Island in Greece, where our yacht was moored to shelter from an expected storm. The thoughts that followed are about kindness, encouragement, and the quiet difference a few words can make.

How's your week been? Have you managed to grab some moments outside? If you're in the UK it's been a few days of wonderful late Spring weather, elsewhere in the world I can't vouch for.

Not sure why I'm writing the things I am today, perhaps it's because of the response to my Good Friday blog.

If it's been a good week, great, pleased for you. Have you taken any of your time to drop some encouragement on the lap of those around you who may not be in such a good place?

It doesn't take very long, or too much, to change someone's day, and each day changed can lead to a life changed.

Let's work on the basis that when you die, you get to Heaven, and there are those big Pearly Gates.

Imagine how it would feel if there was someone standing there who comes up to you and explains how you said a few kind words, words that changed their life, from the messy life they were in, to something good. You helped them turn their life around.

Then imagine another person says much the same.

And another.

The thing is that small things may not be small at all.

That kindness may travel further than we ever know.

That a life may be altered, not always by grand gestures, but by the quiet decision to bless rather than bruise.

So as Friday arrives, perhaps let life unclench a little.

Refuse to be dragged.

Do not drag others.

Bless them.

And then you will start to see the world - really see the world - slowly.

For me, a Friday image with words is a small pause at the end of the week, a moment to look, reflect, and perhaps bless others a little more deliberately.
